Description
A Three piece chisel and butcher set for use with my tooling tongs. They can be used with a hand hammer, treadle hammer, or power hammer.
The chisels have sharp ends for cutting steel and the butcher has radius ends for isolating material and fine fullering.
The three tools are 1″ wide at the end and are 3 3/4″ long
Details as follows
Slitting chisel with double bevel for cutting straight or slightly curved lengths with even cutting on both sides.
Straight back chisel with single bevel for cutting square on one side.
Butcher with 1/16″ radius for isolating mass or veining.
The standard set is made of heat treated 1045, If greater performance is required such as cutting harder steel or thick sections where its difficult to adequately cool the tool H13 is available.
